St Mary's Music Association is offering up to £250 to support the musical training and education of a young musician in St. Mary's parish in full time education. Applications must be received by 31st August 2019.
St Mary’s Flower Festival August 2019
St Mary’s Flower Festival: “When the Saints go marching in” - This will take place over the August bank holiday weekend 23 – 26 August 10am to 6pm except Sunday 12 to 6pm.

St Mary's Goes Green
St Mary’s Church has decided to embark on a journey to registration as an ECO Church. ECO Church is an award scheme run by the Christian environmental charity A Rocha which recognizes churches that are caring for the environment.
St Mary's wins DAC Design Award
We have received a HIGHLY COMMENDED DESIGN AWARD for the Welcome Building Project work at the west end of St Mary's SW by the Diocesan Advisory Committee

Rev’d Canon Jenny Tomlinson appointed as Archdeacon of Birmingham
Instalment of Jenny Tomlinson as Archdeacon of Birmingham on 12 May 2019. As well as her work for the Diocese of Chelmsford, Jenny was also the priest at St James’, Sewards End.
Weekend Away 2020
Come and enjoy a weekend of friendship, learning together and fun for all the family 12 - 14 June 2020 at Belsey Bridge - near Bungay. Our speaker is Roger Morris, Bishop of Colchester. Full board, day rates available and under 18s FREE.
Lunchtime Concerts and Organ Recitals 2019
Lunchtime Concerts take place on 8 Wednesdays at 1.10pm in St Mary’s Church Saffron Walden and last about 40 minutes. Refreshments are available form 12.30pm. Plus 5 Organ Recitals. No admission charge but there is a retiring collection.
