Lay Funeral Minister
Judith Hasler has been authorised by Bishop Stephen as one of the first Lay Funeral Ministers in the Diocese. She was commissioned on 12th October 2019, along with three others in a Celebration of Lay Ministry at Chelmsford Cathedral.
The Class of ‘39
The 20th of September saw a gathering of 10 people who either worship at St Mary’s or who have strong links to St Mary’s and who have already or will celebrate their 80th birthdays this year.
Forest Church Service
On Sunday 20th October St John's Church is holding its third FOREST CHURCH SERVICE at Noakes Grove, Redgate's Ln, Saffron Walden, CB10 2LW
Do you play a Brass instrument?
St Mary’s Brass meets on Monday evenings 6.15–7.15pm during term time. The group plays at various events in the year including our Easter Service, Christmas Carol Service and Christmas Fair. New members of any age are always welcome.

Christmas Fair 30th November 2019
St Mary’s 2019 Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 30th November between 10.00a.m. and 2.00p.m. In preparation for the event there will be a lot of behind the scenes activity to ensure it will be as successful as possible.
If you are interested in learning more about the Christian faith and being confirmed in the Autumn term, please speak to Rachel or David
Harvest Festival 2019
St. Mary’s celebrated Harvest Festival at a special family service on Sunday 15th September. Members of St Mary’s Church Guides and Brownies attended the service and the church junior choir led the singing of traditional and contemporary harvest hymns.
Aftershock Autumn Programme 2019
Aftershock is for 11-18 year olds and meets on Sundays in the Parish Rooms from 7.00 to 8.30pm during term time except on the 1st Sunday of each month when it forms part of H2H. It is a chance to socialise, learn and enjoy each other’s company.
Soul Survivor Photos 2019
