Some comments from those who went last time
‘The 2018 Weekend Away was a joyous occasion - a fantastic opportunity to really get to know members of the congregation at St Mary’s combined with a chance to think, learn and worship together. The many smiling and happy faces from the end of weekend photo tells the story of what a great weekend it was and how successfully it was organised. It was fantastic to have a theme - in this case, the Beatitudes - which was explored in so many diverse ways. From silent worship to poetry writing, through the medium of art, drama and prayer. Also - the food was amazing!’ Lily
‘I should like to say a very big thank you for organising such a lovely weekend. From my point of view, it was fantastic to be able to share fellowship with so many people from the surrounding parishes. The whole experience was superb. Thank you so very much for all the hard work you must have put in to make it run so superbly.’ Diana
‘I really enjoyed the music- I don't play my guitar a lot so it was nice to have the opportunity. The Bishop was brilliant and I think I need more silent worship - life is noisy and the older I get the more I want to retreat into silence. Thank you again. Dad always said, go where the spirit is, and I really felt we had this weekend. We would love it every year,…’ Cathy
‘Thank you so much for a well organised, enjoyable and suitably challenging weekend.’ Denis
