Sale of Church Etching for the Friends of the Parish Church
David Aronsohn, a British artist living in Saffron Walden, has very kindly donated to the Friends one of his artist’s limited edition prints of an etching of St Mary’s Chancel. The etching is 30cm x 23.5 on a mount measuring 51cm x 41cm and is unframed.
David has produced work for public and private collections, and he also taught art for many years including being a senior lecturer at Central Saint Martins. He has been mentored and learned from the sculptors Philip King, Fritz Kormis, Paul Neagu and Phyllida Barlow. His initial teaching came from Patrick Symons and Euan Uglow.
The Friends are offering the etching on a blind bid which will close on 31st December 2024. As a guide one of David’s similar etchings sold for £100. The etching will go to the highest reasonable bid and the money raised will go to the Friends of the Parish Church.
Please contact Pamela Mugliston if you would like to view the etching. Offers should be left at the Parish Office and marked ‘Friends Etching Bid’.
