Pastoral Care Awards 

Congratulations to Vivian Falk, Claire Dunn and Kathy Rands on being awarded their Certificates following successful completion of the Diocesan Pastoral Care Course. These were awarded by Bishop Lynne on Saturday 8th February at Chelmsford Cathedral where presentations were made to students from across the Diocese. The students in these groups have felt a call from God to a specific, pastoral ministry within their communities and have been dedicated to train and equip themselves to better serve their brothers and sisters as disciples of Christ.

The local group met at St Pauls Mission Hall in Wimbish for 6 weeks in the Autumn and were drawn from across the Deanery.  In addition to the three members of St Mary’s, Ned Tozer of the Icknield Way Parish and Pete Gray from Wimbish also took part.  The photo shows the participants with Bishop Lynne, Archdeacon Jonathan, Canon Caroline Harding LLM and our own Tracey Nicholls who co-led the course with Judith Hasler.  Claire and Judith were unable to attend the service.
